Kristina DiMatteo is a Creative Director based in New York City specializing in design direction, visual storytelling, and brand development. Currently she is the Senior Creative Lead in Bloomberg Media Studios where she creates custom content and brand partnerships.

Previously as the Design Director for Condé Nast’s Content Development Group, Kristina branded custom content across all Condé Nast properties. She developed digital experiences and led the creative launch of Condé Nast’s first fully interactive iPhone experience for the New Yorker, a project that won her an Innovator of the Year award.  

Formerly, she led the creative at Print magazine where she established the publication’s photo style and graphic approach garnering two ASMEs for General Excellence and a silver medal for Society of Publication Designers Magazine of the Year.

Kristina was on the design team at The New York Times Magazine, where she directed and conceptualized covers, special issues and features. In addition she has held key design positions at Cookie magazine, Time Inc. Custom publishing and select creative studios with a focus in food, fashion, culture and art.

She is currently on the Board of Directors for the Society of Publication Designers, and has served on the executive board of the New York chapter of the AIGA. She has been an adjunct professor at her alma mater, School of Visual Arts. 

Kristina’s work has been recognized by organizations including: AIGA, ASME, Art Directors Club, Print, Society of Publication Designers, and the Type Directors Club amongst others.
